It’s been 100 years since Roald Amundsen and his men visited the South Pole as first modern men. South Pole is relatively easily accessible than it was in those time. No one yet managed to go to South Pole taking the same route as Amundsen did, so that explains the braveness of Amundsen and this team, who just used dogs and will to reach that place. So I respect that Norwegian PM @jensstoltenberg pays tribute by visitin the place himself.
Dont’ forget the british team led by Robert Scott, who managed to go to South Pole 4 weeks after Amundsen, but never managed to return alive.
